The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Raymond Heilers
Fort Loramie native and former Anna resident Raymond B. Heilers, 89, died at 11:20 p.m. July 17, 2006, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster, where he lived for a year.
He was born June 12, 1917, in Fort Loramie, to Bernard and Victoria Gaier Heilers. On June 12, 1945, he married Alma Eleanor Poeppelman, who survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Jim (Irene), St. Marys, Ron (Barb), Houston, and Dave and Rick, both of Sidney; five daughters, Barbara (Jerry) Schoen, Fort Recovery, Myra Jean (Jim) Cunningham, Mars, Pa., Patti (Mike) Williamson, Anna, Sharon, Piqua, and Jolene (Randy) Ahlers, Fort Loramie; two brothers, Anthony (Theresa), Houston, Texas, and Victor (Betty), McKinney, Texas; two sisters, Mildred Dudley, Phoenix, Ariz., and Jeanne (Dale) Egbert, Botkins; 23 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Albert and Clarence; and four sisters, Clementine Boomer, Madge Molla, Wilhemina Roethlisberger and an infant, Mary.
He retired in 1981 after 21 years at G&W Tool & Die, Fort Loramie. He was a farmer and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville. For 70 years he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5239, McCartyville-St. Patrick.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Pat Welsh officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-9:45 a.m. Saturday at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
