The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Robert W. Bud Niemeyer
Robert W. Bud Niemeyer, 81, 06701 Road 66A, died 2:40 a.m. Friday at Valley Nursing Home, St.Marys.
He was born Oct. 9, 1924 to Frank Sr. and Ruth (Brockman) Niemeyer, New Bremen. On Feb. 8, 1949, he married Irene E. Aslage, who died Dec. 2, 1993.
Survivors are three daughters, Pam (Henry) Steinmetz, Greenville, Janet (Buff) Fritz, Ocala, Fla., and Elaine (Todd) Meineke, Villa Hills, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Frank Jr. and two sisters, LaVerne Fark and Jean Dock.
He owned and operated Nupco Plastic Tubing, New Bremen and owned the patent for a farm field tile ditching machine since 1953. He served in the U.S. Army in the last Army Equestrian unit during WWII. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer, New Bremen, and the former Men's Holy Name Society of the Church. He was a member of the American Legion Post 241, New Bremen, and the former New Bremen's Lions Club. He was an honorary retired member of the New Bremen/German Township Fire Department. He was a member of the U.S. 124 Horse Calvary Association.
Funeral mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of the Holy Redeemer, New Bremen, with the Rev. Thomas Mannebach officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen, with American Legion Post 241 conducting military rites.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, and 9:30 -10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
