The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Rev. David Dougherty
Rev. David Dougherty, C.PP.S., a member of the Kansas City Province of the Society of the Precious Blood, died Aug. 15, 2006, at St. Charles Center, Carthagena, where he had lived since 2002.
He was born Nov. 27, 1922, in Dodge City, Kan., to Joseph and Nellie Dollison Dougherty. He was incorporated into the Society of the Precious Blood on Dec. 8, 1944, and was ordained a priest on March 25, 1949. His assignments included parishes in Ohio, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa and Missouri.
Survivors are two brothers, Joseph, of Virginia and Bernard; and a sister, Margaret Clawson, of Florida.
Deceased are two brothers, Thomas and Robert Barker.
Reception of the body is 12:35 p.m. Friday with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m. at St. Charles Center, Carthagena. Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Saturday in Assumption Chapel at the Capital center with burial to follow in the community cemetery.
Local arrangements were handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
