The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

A heavily damaged 2004 Chevy Trailblazer awaits a tow truck following a two-vehicle accident that resulted in multiple injuries at 10:59 a.m. Aug. 15 at the intersection of Touvelle Street and Fairground Road. Timothy A. Levi, 38, 1313 Michael Ave., Celina, was driving a 1999 Chevy pickup truck southeast bound on Touvelle Street approaching the Summit Street/Fairground Road intersection while David J. Place, 60, 310 Jill Ave., Lot 123, Celina, was driving the Trailblazer westbound on Summit Street. The vehicles collided in the intersection with each driver claiming to have a green light. Place was taken by ambulance to Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. Jordan A. Levi, 14, a passenger in the truck driven by his father, was taken by another squad to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. Both disabled vehicles were towed from the scene.
