The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Velma Stork
Velma W. Stork, 83, formerly of 11230 state Route 364, St. Marys, died at 5:48 p.m. Dec. 12, 2006, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, where she was a resident.
She was born June 17, 1923, in Auglaize County, to Clarence and Wilhemina Holtkamp. She married Paul Stork, who is deceased.
Survivors are a son, Paul (Donna), Warsaw, Ind.; three daughters, Lynn (Michael) McCabe, New Knoxville, Joyce (Walter) Cummins, Springboro, and Vicki Dawson, Olathe, Kan.; a sister, Evangeline Davis, Naples, Fla.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She previously worked at the New Knoxville Telephone Company, and was a homemaker and graduate of New Knoxville High School.
Graveside funeral rites are 11 a.m. Friday at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Contributions can be made to the Joint Township Hospital Foundation, St. Marys.
Arrangements are by Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
