The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Bernard Osterloh
Bernard "Bernie" Osterloh, 50, of New Bremen, died Jan. 12, 2007, at his residence after a year long illness.
He was born June 1, 1956, in Coldwater, to Othmar and Jovita Bertke Osterloh, Rossburg. On Jan. 18, 1980, he married Linda Grieshop Osterloh, New Bremen.
Also surviving are a son, Chris (DeAnna), Maria Stein; a daughter, Tina (Mark) Gerding, Ottawa; four brothers, Tom (Linda), Minster, Luke (Sharon), Versailles, Mike (Janice), Rossburg, and Joe (Brenda), Burkettsville; two sisters, Marlene (Ron) Pohl, Coldwater, and Deb (Dale) Albers, Maria Stein; a father- and mother-in-law, Louis and Mary Ann Grieshop, Versailles; and two grandchildren.
He worked in the shop at Precision Strip, Minster; maintenance at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater; was a turkey farmer and construction worker. He was a member of the Lima Seventh Day Adventists Church where he was a deacon.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Alliance Church, New Bremen, the Rev. Don Byard officiating. Burial will be at German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Monday and 9-9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
