The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Linda Gheen
Linda S. Gheen, 48, 1240 W. High St., Piqua, died 3:13 a.m. Feb. 2, 2007, at the Ohio State University Medical Center from natural causes.
She was born in Greenville on March 30, 1958, to Lewis Hittle, Jr., and Betty Elson Hittle, Celina. She married Duane Hoffman, who is deceased.
Surviving are two daughters, Shelly (Jim) Walters and Susan (Aaron) Lambert, all of Piqua; three brothers, Jerry (Debbie) Hittle, Union City, Michael Hittle, Celina, and Bob (Pat) Hittle, Rossburg; three sisters, Sherry (Todd) Decker and Diane Hittle, all of Celina, and Barbara (Rick) Emans, Mendon; a half-brother, Ron (Renee) Hines, Winchester, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are two sisters, Bonnie and Brenda Hittle.
She retired as a firefighter and paramedic from Piqua Fire Department, where she held the distinction as the first lady firefighter to join the department. She also worked at Upper Valley Medical Center in the emergency room and taught EMT/paramedic training. She was a member of Troy Horseshoe Club and Darke County Horseshoe Club. She attended Edison State College and obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing from Franklin University.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home, Piqua, the Rev. Jeff C. Warner officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Creek Cemetery.
Calling is 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
