The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Kathleen Simon
Kathleen R. Simon, 85, Schervier Ct., Centerville, died at 2:02 a.m. Feb. 10 2007, at Hospice of Dayton Care Center.
She was born on Oct. 6, 1921, in Willowdell, to Leo A. and Ellen C. Barga Simon.
Survivors are two brothers, Richard (Shirley), Fort Loramie, and John (Jeanne), Versailles; a sister, Doris Kowalski, Columbus; and a sister-in-law, Mary Ellen, Willowdell.
Deceased are a brother, Robert; and two sisters, Helen Muzleski and Mary Jane Magoto.
She graduated from Versailles High School in 1939 and retired from Huffy Bicycle Company, Dayton, where she worked in administration. She was a member of St. Leonard Catholic Church, Centerville.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fort Loramie, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial to follow at St. Valbert Cemetery, Versailles.
Calling is 8:30-10 a.m. at Gehret Funeral Home, Fort Loramie.
