The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Ruth Highley
Former Celina resident Ruth A. Highley, 89, died at 7:25 a.m. April 18, 2007, at Winchester Place Nursing Home, Canal Winchester.
She was born Oct. 14, 1917, in Rockford, to Delbert and Cora Hinkle McCristy.
Surviving are a son, Wilbur (Mary), Columbus; a daughter, Karen Gehle, Celina; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Buryl McCristy.
She retired in December of 1984 from Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater, where she worked as a nurse's aide and in central supply. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, St. Marys.
There will be no calling.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, the Rev. Doug Meyer officiating.
Contributions can be made to Mercer County Council of Aging.
Arrangements were handled by Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home, Celina.
