The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Joyce Leighner
Joyce Irene Leighner, 61, of Willshire, died of natural causes on July 30, 2007, at Adams County Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Ind.
She was born July 21, 1946, in Van Wert, to Charles and Fern Redlinger Keller Book. Her mother survives in Van Wert. On February 14, 1966, she married Edward Leighner, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons Charlie (Sami), Austinburg, and James (Jill), Rockford; a daughter, Ginny (Neil) Schaadt, Convoy; three sisters, Cheryl (Chris) Knapp, Tuscon, Ariz., Linda (Ron) Miller, Delphos, and Elaine (Don) Heindel, Willshire; and seven grandchildren.
She was the office manager for Farmer's Grain in Willshire for more than 35 years. She was a member of Grace Bible Church, Berne, Ind., and an organist at Zion United Brethren Church, Willshire, and Decatur Baptist Church.
Services are 2 p.m. Saturday at Praise Point Church, Willshire, the Rev. Chuck Circle officiating.
