The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Herbert McClain
Herbert "Mac" McClain, 82, of Greenville, died at 3:15 p.m. Aug. 5, 2007, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 17, 1924, in Darke County to Homer and Naomi Worch McClain. On Jan. 31, 1969, he married Juanita C. Painter, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, David, Greenville, and Michael A. (Linda), San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Berneda Trent, Eaton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was the owner of McClain's Inc. of Greenville since 1951. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Seabees. He was a member of the Greenville Veterans of Foreign Wars, past board member of the Garst Museum, past president of the Darke County Construction Association and a member of the Sons & Daughters Pioneer River Men.
Services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville. Burial is at Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Jefferson, where graveside military services will be conducted by the Greenville Veterans Honor Guard.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
