The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Robert Miller
Robert W. Miller, 74, of Willshire, died at 1:15 a.m. Aug. 6, 2007, at his son's home in Willshire.
He was born Oct. 5, 1932, in Wapakoneta, to John W. Miller and Audrey F. Hall-Wilbert, who are deceased. Also deceased is his stepfather, Wilfred Wilbert. His first wife, Betsy H. Miller, and second wife, Dorothy L. Miller, also are deceased.
Surviving are a companion, Barbara Kurtz, Lima; three sons, R. Tony, Willshire, Darren (Koral), Mendon, and Darrell (Sandy), Celina; two sisters, Pat Kohli, Lima, and Marilyn Binkley, Lima; a stepsister, Marcele (Paul) Trane, Lima; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He retired in 1994 from Conrail Railroad. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Korean War aboard the USS Halsey Powell. He was a 1952 graduate of Lima Central High School and a member of American Legion Post 96 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, both of Lima, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, St. Marys, and AMVETS and the Fraternal Order of Moose Lodge, both of Lakeview.
Services are 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Wayne Street Chapel Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lima, the Rev. Rich Fields officiating. Burial is at Liberty Chapel Cemetery, Lafayette. Military rites will be conducted by the VFW, St. Marys.
There are no calling hours.
Contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, Marimor Industries or the American Cancer Society.
