The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Nicholas Bayer
Nicholas Bayer, 54, Germantown, Md., died Aug. 13, 2007, at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C. Death was due to cancer.
He was born Dec. 14, 1953, in St. Marys, to Marvin and Dorothy Peters Bayer, who survive in St. Marys.
Also surviving are two brothers, Michael (Barbara), Washington D.C., and Thomas (Briana), Leesburg, Va.; and a sister, Nancy (Bob) Jacobs, Warrenton, Va.
He worked as an accountant for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Germantown. He was a 1971 graduate of Memorial High School, St. Marys, earned an undergraduate degree at The Ohio State University and a master's degree from the University of Maryland.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys, the Rev. Anthony Cutcher officiating. Burial is at Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys.
There will be no calling hours.
Contributions can be made to St. Marys Public Library or Holy Rosary School Fund.
