The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Robert Harruff
Robert L. "Boots" Harruff Sr., 68, rural Buckland, was found dead of natural causes in his home on Aug. 29, 2007.
He was born Sept. 29, 1938, in Spencerville, to Cloyd S. and Lona L. Schaffer Harruff.
Surviving are two sons, Robert "Bobby" Jr. (Eula) and Ronald, all of Wapakoneta; two daughters, Robin Baker, Bluefield, W.Va., and Rhonda, Wapakoneta; five brothers, Richard (Shirley), Albert (Sally) and Raymond (Nancy), all of Spencerville, Douglas (Diane), Delphos, and Vernon (Mary), Chickasha, Okla.; four sisters, Patricia (Gary) Gallimore, St. Marys, Beverly (Robert) Shaner, Wapakoneta, Hazel Longsworth, Celina, and Carol Mays, Spencerville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Deceased is an infant brother, Paul.
Retired as a machinist at the Lima Engine Plant of Ford Motor Company after 30 years, he had formerly worked at Ohio Decorative Products and Greber Construction, both of Spencerville, and Tuttle Construction Company, Lima. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 1219, Lima.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville, the Rev. Andrew J. Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in Spencerville Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
