The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Charles Dotson
Charles "Chuck" Dotson, 82, 1015 Hendricks Ave., St. Marys, died at 11:37 a.m. Sept. 11, 2007, at Hurley Medical Center, Flint, Mich. Death was due to an apparent heart attack.
He was born May 7, 1925, in Mendon, to Clarence and Edith Snyder Dotson. On Dec. 24, 1948, he married Marie Mobley, who died April 25, 1994. He then married Dorothy Henegar Lawson on Jan. 1, 1995, and she survives at the residence.
Surviving are a son, Mark (Heidi), St. Marys; a sister, Phyllis Furr, New Port Richey, Fla.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a stepson, Allen Lawson; and four brothers, Warren, Paul, John and Fred.
He retired from Hayes Albion Corporation, was currently working at Bud's Chevrolet and previously worked at Ted Ruck Company. He helped form several churches in the area including Hillsdale Baptist Church, St. Marys Missionary Baptist Church, both of St. Marys, and Victory Center Church of God, Wapakoneta. He was a member of Victory Center Church of God and American Legion Post 323, St. Marys.
Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Scott Landis officiating. Burial is at Resthaven Memory Gardens, where military rites will be conducted.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
