The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Richard Borgerding
Richard "Dick" Borgerding, 77, 4232 North Star-Fort Loramie Road, New Weston, died at 7:15 p.m. Sept. 15, 2007, at his residence.
He was born May 2, 1930, in New Weston, to Henry and Ida Gels Borgerding. On Jan. 26, 1952, he married Marilyn George, who survives.
Also surviving are five sons, Terry (Jodee), Woodington, Tim, Atlanta, Ga., Chuck (Brenda) and Bruce, all of New Weston, and Chris (Kathy), St. Henry; three daughters, Diane (Jeff) Hill, Bradford, Karen (Bill) Black, Phoenix, Ariz., and Pam, Greenville; two brothers, Harold (Jean), Fort Recovery, and Mark (Marilyn), Dayton; four sisters, Norma (Jerry) Grieshop, Fort Recovery, Marie Glass, St. Henry, and Virginia Grimberg and Patricia (Jack) Sauer, all of Dayton; a brother-in-law, Elmer Wendel, Fort Recovery; a sister-in-law, Ramona, Dayton; 21 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a son, Ed; six brothers, John, Daniel, Eugene, Robert, Joseph and Jim; two sisters, Henrietta Borgerding and Joan Wendel; and two brothers-in-law, Kenneth Grimberg and Bill Glass.
He was a retired farmer and business owner and had worked at Cadillac Gauge, Greenville. He was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Burkettsville, and it's Men's Society.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Tony Fortman officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
