The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Edith Harner
Edith Harner, 85, 317 Jack Oak Point Road, St. Marys, died at 4:15 p.m. Sept. 16, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born Sept. 3, 1922, in Allen County, to Howard and Ruth Boroff Thomas. On Oct. 5, 1951, she married Oreal "Dave" Harner, who died March 24, 1989.
Surviving are a son, Ron (Carol), Tiffin; a daughter, Rhonda (Dana) Runnion, St. Marys; four brothers, Carl Thomas, Rockford, Ross Thomas, Buckland, Doyt Thomas, St. Marys, and Dale (Mary Ann) Thomas, Wapakoneta; a sister, Ruth May (Elmer) Hubbard, W. Lafayette, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Glenn and John Thomas.
She retired from Huffy Bicycle Corp., Celina, and was a 1940 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. She was a member of the Ohio State University Extension's Auglaize County Homemakers group and Grace United Methodist Church, St. Marys.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Mary Kay Brown officiating. Burial is at Mercer County Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
