The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Beverly Laffin
Beverly Jean Laffin, 69, rural Wapakoneta, died 9:55 p.m. Sept. 27, 2007 at her residence.
She was born on Aug. 23, 1938, to Carroll and Nadine Webb Klingler. On June 28, 1959, she was married to Bill L. Laffin, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Mark, Wapakoneta; two daughters, Dawn M. (Robert) Moyler, Cridersville, and Lora L. (Lonnie) Hurt, Celina; two sisters, Betty (Richard) Plattner, New Bremen, and Barbara (Danny) Gould, Hoagland, Ind.; a brother, Dennis (Edith) Klingler, New Bremen; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased is an infant son Billy.
She was a homemaker and worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber. Co for 30 years.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta, the Rev. Greg Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Moulton.
Callng is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 12:30-1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
