The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Urban Hemmelgarn
Urban Hemmelgarn, 89, 830 W. Main St., Coldwater, died at 11:52 a.m. Nov. 6, 2007, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater.
He was born Sept. 25, 1918, in St. Henry, to Henry and Amelia Stammen Hemmelgarn. On May 10, 1947, he married Clara Dues, who died Jan. 30, 1973.
Survivors are three sons, Stanley (Sharon), Ansonia, Roger (Cathy), Fort Recovery, and Lester (Betty), St. Henry; four daughters, Carolyn (Henry) Reier, Maria Stein, Nancy (Daniel) Hart, Carthagena, Virginia (Roger) Thornton, Wapakoneta, and Pamela (Doug) Westgerdes, Fort Recovery; a brother, Andy (Velma) Hemmelgarn, St. Henry; three sisters, Marcella Bailey, Dayton, Aggie Miller, Brookville, and Flora Dippold, Cassella; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann, St. Henry; 24 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Cyrilus, Cletus and Ernie; two sisters, Betty Hemmelgarn and Rita Harmuth; four brothers-in-law, Melvin Bailey, Ralph Miller, Cyril Dippold and Martin Harmuth; a sister-in-law, Agnes; and a grandchild.
He was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Men's Society and the Knights of St. John, Maria Stein.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
