The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Robert McEowen
Robert H. McEowen, 71, 4159 Rossburg-Lightsville Road, Rossburg, died at 5:40 p.m. Dec. 8, 2007, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton.
He was born April 28, 1936, in Rossburg, to Lowell and Dorothy Hathaway McEowen. On June 26, 1957, he married Mary Kathryn Stammen, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Robert (Nora), Walbridge, James (Rachel), Oregon, Ohio, and Martin (JeriAnn), Toledo; three daughters, Melissa (Tom) Majka, Copley, Dawn Oldiges, Minster, and Jenniffer Evers, Rossburg; two brothers, Roger (Cathy) and Ralph (June), all of Greenville; and a sister, Rita (Ronald) Young, Rossburg.
Deceased is a daughter, Tracey.
He retired from British Petroleum, Oregon, Ohio.
No services or calling hours will be held. His body is being cremated.
Arrangements are being handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
