The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Dean Lhamon
Dean Lhamon, 86, 131 N. Perry St., St. Marys, died at 1:35 a.m. Dec. 16, 2007, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born Dec. 10, 1921, in Auglaize County, to Clarence "Tim" and Magdalena Loegel Lhamon. On Dec. 10, 1945, he married Norma Meckstroth, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Mike (Sharon) and Tim, of St. Marys; two daughters, Barbara, Lorain, and Denise (Dave) Wirrig, Greensburg, Ind.; a brother Doyle, St. Marys; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant daughter; a daughter-in-law, Pam; and an infant grandson.
He was owner of S and S Radio and TV and later worked as a repair technician at Hall's Appliance, both of St. Marys. A 1939 graduate of the former Neptune High School, he was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre during World War II. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, American Legion Post 323 and Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 767, all of St. Marys. He coached the American Legion baseball team and little league baseball teams, in St. Marys.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Very Rev. David Williams officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery, St. Marys.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the Thomas Howard Memorial Scholarship Fund.
