The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

John Bey
John W. "John T" Bey, 67, of Versailles, died at 9:48 p.m. Jan. 25, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Dayton.
He was born Sept. 15, 1940, in Darke County, to Lloyd and Francis Eck Bey. His wife, Janet Mendenhall, survives.
Other survivors are two sons, John Lee (Sandra), Versailles, and Terry, Greenville; a daughter, Karen (Larry) Smith, Greenville; a son-in-law, David Schoen, Ansonia; a brother, Roger (Marie), Anna; four sisters, Betty (Ed) Buzzard, Gettysburg, Jeanie Schleter of Georgia, Helen (Doyle) Layne, Troy, and Vera (Charley) Schmidt, Coldwater; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Patricia Schoen; a sister, Judy Homan; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia "Patty."
He had worked at the former Huffy Bicycle plant in Celina and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Versailles.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home, Versailles, the Rev. Steve Short officiating. Burial is at Greenlawn Cemetery, Versailles.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
