The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality. Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories. It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes. Elle Jane Meyer
Elle Jane Meyer, the daughter of Bradley and Cara Olney Meyer of Minster, was stillborn on Feb. 27, 2008, at Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus.
Surviving with her parents are a brother, Jack Bradley and a sister, Emma Caralyne, both at home; and grandparents, Michael and Kathryn Olney, Delaware, Becky and Rudy Quinter, Minster, and Thomas Meyer, Celina.
Private family services will be held. Burial is at St. Augustine Cemetery, Minster.
Arrangements are being handled by Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Former Celina resident John Elwood Preston, 66, of Washington, D.C., died at 3:15 p.m. Feb. 27, 2008, at his home. Death was due to complications of cancer. [More]
