The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

James Jones
James Richard Jones, 75, of Huntington, Ind., died at 1:10 a.m. March 9, 2008, at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born April 21, 1932, in Fremont, to Chris and Leora Baker Jones. On Sept. 15, 1987, he married Bonita "Bonnie" Shaffer, who survives.
Other survivors are a son, David (Terri), Goose Creek, S.C.; two daughters, Teri Lowe, Celina, and Lisa (Dan) Batchelder, Fort Wayne; and five grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister.
He retired as a Huntington County realtor, appraiser and auctioneer. He was owner of Landmark Realty and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a First Lieutenant in the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Huntington, Norwood Golf Course, past board member of the Huntington County Visitor Center and past board member of the Huntington County Realtors.
Calling is 10-11 a.m. Friday at Bailey-Love Mortuary with a memorial service following at 11 a.m., the Rev. Russell Buzzard officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Gardens of Memory, Huntington County.
Contributions can be made to the Kidney Foundation, the American Heart Association or the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689 in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary.
