The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Mary Holthaus
Mary Catherine Holthaus, 83, of McCartyville, died at 7 a.m. March 25, 2008, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Minster.
She was born Nov. 20, 1924, in Sharpsburg, to Phillip and Elizabeth Schmitz Weitzel. On Nov. 20, 1947, she married Albert Langenkamp, who died in 1983. On June 22, 1984, she married Bernard Holthaus, who survives.
Other survivors are five sons, Charles (Jo) Langenkamp, Greenville, Edward (Michele) Langenkamp, Brisbane, Australia, William (Sharon) Langenkamp, North Star, Jerry (Denise) Langenkamp, Maria Stein, and Jack (Tammy) Langenkamp, Versailles; two daughters, Patricia (John) Simmons, Union, and Linda (Rick) Thobe, Maria Stein; seven stepsons, Bernard (Bobbi) Holthaus, Sidney, Frederick and Robert Holthaus, both of Anna, Richard (Deb) Holthaus, Mark (Sharon) Holthaus, William (Deb) Holthaus and Gerald Holthaus, all of Fort Loramie; nine stepdaughters, Rosie (Marvin) Albers, Margaret (Jerry) Gepfrey and Patricia (Foster) Jones, all of Anna; Dorothy Inman, Mesa, Ariz., Marlene Overly, Duluth, Ga., Carol (Larry) Voisard, Fort Loramie, Marian (John) Bensman, Russia, Rita (Allan) Wente, Minster, and Treva (Rick) Monnier, Tipp City; a sister, Agnes (Ben) Lefeld, St. Henry; 60 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a stepdaughter, Ann Holthaus; two brothers, Albert and Clarence; and five sisters, Martha Hemmelgarn, Ann Ross, Julitta Reichert, Rita Hartke and Gertrude Nieport.  
She was a homemaker and farmer. She was a member of he American Legion Auxiliary, North Star, and the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, and its Rosary Altar Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Patrick Welsh officiating. Burial is at St. Louis Cemetery, North Star.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, and 9-9:45 a.m. Friday at the church.   Contributions can be made to the Sacred Heart Building Fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
