The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

John Garman
John O. Garman, 88, formerly of 1118 W. Market St., Celina, died at 4:10 a.m. April 5, 2008, at Summerville at Chestnut Hill, Columbus.
He was born June 18, 1919, in Celina to Stephen and Mable May Garman. On June 19, 1949, he married Dorotha H. Coate, who died May 3, 1996.
Surviving are three sons, Gregory (Jean), Gahanna, Fred (Karin), Blue Ridge, Texas, and Glen (Lisa), Goshen, Ind.; a brother, James, Frakes, Ky.; a sister, Ruth Reinhart, Celina; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Deceased are three brothers, Lee, George and Edward.
He had owned and operated Garman Brothers Service Station in Celina for many years. He served as the mayor of Celina from 1988 to 1992 and was a longtime city councilman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in World War II in Panama and Europe. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, all of Celina.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Jim Richter officiating. Burial is at Swamp College Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home, Celina, and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
