The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Treva Yost
Treva Mae Yost, 98, of 11300 Circle Drive, St. Marys, and formerly of New Lebanon, died at 9 p.m. April 20, 2008, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, where she had resided since 1990.
She was born Aug. 27, 1909, in Clayton, to Samuel and Bertha Wolford Rhoades. On Sept. 9, 1933, she married Abram Yost, who died June 30, 1991.
Survivors are three sons, Dwayne (Elaine), Manchester, Ky., Daryl, Fort Wayne; and Marlen (Lynn), Celina; two daughters, Barbara (Noble) Neidig, Plymouth, Ind., and Bonita (Dale) Bowser, Jamestown, Ky.; 17 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Robert Brumbaugh; three sisters, Grace Keener, Lillian Bunger and Catherine Boggs; a daughter-in-law, Joenita Yost; a grandaughter-in-law and a great-granddaughter.
She was a first grade teacher in Clayton for four years and taught for 21 years for the New Lebanon Public Schools. She was a member of the Church of the Brethren, New Lebanon and attended St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Celina. She was a 1927 graduate of Randolph Township High School (Northmont) and a graduate of the Dayton Junior Teachers' College.
Services are 11 a.m. Friday, in the Meyer Community Room at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, the Rev. Carol Sainey, officiating. Graveside rites will be held at Eversole Cemetery in New Lebanon at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
Calling is 9-11 a.m. Friday at Otterbein St. Marys.
