The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Christine George
Former Mercer County resident Christine E. George, 57, of Houston, Texas, died March 25, 2008, in Houston. Death was due to natural causes.
She was born Sept. 29, 1950, in Celina, to the late Clifford Steele and Virginia Gibbons Rumple, who survives in Celina. Her stepfather, LaDoyt Rumple, also is deceased. Her husband, Michael B. George, survives.
Also surviving are a brother, Randy Steele, Celina; a stepbrother, Randy (Ruth) Rumple, Rockford; and a stepsister, Janet (Mike) Riley, Rockford.
She worked for Elder-Beerman Department Stores in Dayton, and later was a teacher at Findlay City Schools and Langham Creek High School, Houston. She was a member of the following in Houston: Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Community; Woods of Wimbledon Ladies Bridge Club; Houston Symphony Legacy Society; Houston Grand Opera Guild and Grand Opera Laureate Society; University of Houston Moore's Society, Rice University's Shepherd Society; and the Leo Meyer Society at the University of Dayton.
She was a graduate of Parkway High School and Wright State University in Dayton.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina, the Rev. Tom Brenberger officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina. Mass was also celebrated April 1, 2008, at the Houston church.
Calling is after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Celina church or The Michael B. & Christine E. George Scholarship Fund at the University of Dayton.
