The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lorena Heitkamp
Lorena E. Heitkamp, 85, of McCartyville, died at 7:58 a.m. May 28, 2008, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney, where she resided the past 18 days.
She was born June 3, 1922, in McCartyville, to Joseph and Agnes Prenger Riethman. On Aug. 25, 1945, she married Clarence L. Heitkamp, who died May 6, 2008.
Surviving are a son, Roger (Peg), Fort Loramie; three daughters, Carol (Tom) Buschur, New Bremen, Elaine (Steve) Barga, West Milton, and Lois (Dale) Kennedy, Botkins; a sister, Cecelia Eyink, St. Henry; a brother-in-law, Richard Harting, Dayton; two sisters-in-law, Alvina Riethman, Minster, and Marie Riethman, McCartyville; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, Raymond, Clarence and Bernard Riethman; two sisters, Marcella Pleiman and Dorothea Harting.
She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. She was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville, and its Rosary and Altar Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Patrick Welsh officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Friday and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the church building fund.
