The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Jean Rammel
Jean I. Rammel, 85, 117, E. Broadway St., Fort Recovery, died at 7:27 p.m. Aug. 13, 2008, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born Sept. 2, 1922, in New Bremen, to Harry and Leona Wissman Wuebbeling. On May 25, 1946, she married Robert Rammel, who died Sept. 15, 2004.
Surviving are two sons, John (Cheryl) Rammel, Fort Recovery, and Jeff (Terry) Rammel, Celina; eight daughters, Bev (Rich) Newell, Parker, Colo., Harriet (Jerry) Pearson, Mary Jo (Dale) Metzger, Beth (L.D.) Nofziger, Vicki (Tom) Staugler, Sharon Collins, Ruth (Steve) Reichert, all of Fort Recovery, and Lisa (Rick) Kaup, Berne, Ind.; 25 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren and 18 stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons-in-law, John Kaffenberger and Scott Collins; and two grandchildren.
She was a retired secretary from Fort Recovery Schools, was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School and attended Bliss Business College in Columbus. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary, both in Fort Recovery.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the church, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial is at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
