The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Phyllis Partee
Phyllis Sue Partee, 77, died at 7 p.m. Aug. 15, 2008, at Wyngate Inn Elderly Living Center, Lima.
She was born Dec. 19, 1930, in St. Johns, to Walter and Flossie Campbell Mertz. On Jan. 20, 1950, she married Donald L. Partee Jr., who died Feb. 1, 2003.
Surviving are two sons, Jeffrey (Connie), and Kevin "Doug", all of St. Marys; a daughter, Carol (George) Sweeney, Lima; a sister, Mary (Bob) Kuehl, Wapakoneta; a sister-in-law, Naomi Mertz, Cridersville; and five grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Waldo, Robert, Vic and Donald; and three sisters, Margarette Beech, Carolyn Davidson and Betty Heinz.
She was a homemaker and a graduate of Lima Central High School.
Graveside services and burial were today at Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum, Lima, the Rev. Larry Hamilton officiated.
