The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Clyde Block
Clyde Albert Block, 82, died at 1:12 p.m. at the Dorothy Love Retirement Center, Sidney.
He was born Oct. 24, 1925, to Albert and Florence Douglas Block. On Dec. 15, 1945, he married Kathleen Buirley, who died July 26, 1994.
Surviving is a son, James B. (Barbara), Piqua; four daughters, Susan (Ronald) DeLaet, Celina, Peggy (Jack) Wilson, Sidney, Linda Franklin, Louisville, Ky., Kathy (George) Scheffer, Tacoma, Wash.; a sister, Mary LeFevre, Sidney; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, William; a sister, Margaret Tidwell; and a grandson.
He was a dairy farmer and worked as a machinist for 24 years at the French Oil Mill Machinery Company, Piqua. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in World War II, a member of the Fort Loramie American Legion, where he served as commander for three terms, a member and chaplain of the Fort Loramie American Legion Firing Squad, a member of the Shelby County Veterans and Sidney Amvets. He was a former trustee of Washington Township, founder and first president of the U.S.S. Denver Reunion and a member of the Shelby County Agricultural Society, Sidney. He attended Lockington Methodist Church and graduated from Sidney High School in 1943.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Adams Funeral Home, Sidney, the Rev. Fred Richards officiating. Burial is at the Lockington Beechwood Cemetery with full military services.
Calling is 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with 7:30 p.m. memorial services conducted by the Fort Loramie American Legion.
