The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

C. Doyle Mayhugh
C. Doyle Mayhugh, 88, 14477 Lambert Road, St. Marys, died at 2:50 a.m. Sept. 4, 2008, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Batavia, to Harry and Stella Fawley Mayhugh. In 1950, he married Betty Lois Chiles, who died March 15, 1994.
Surviving are a son, Gary (Jean), Kansas City, Kan.; three daughters, Nancy, St. Marys, and Sharon (Richard) Trenkamp and Lynn (Harold) Walker, all of Indian Lake; a brother, Delmar (Delores), Hillsboro; a half sister, Bonnie (Jim) Cummins, Winchester; 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Charles; a sister, Doris; and a half brother, Bill Gulick.
He owned and operated a taxi service and later the former Gulf Service Station, both of St. Marys. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, serving in World War II in Okinawa and in the Occupation of China.
Services are 10 a.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Revs. Bruce Head and Jimmy Sweigart officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
