The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Arthur Bruening
Arthur Bruening, 83, 7651 North Start-Fort Loramie Road, Yorkshire, died at 2:35 a.m. Nov. 5, 2008, at Hospice of Dayton.
He was born May 6, 1925, to Herman H. and Frances Boeckman Bruening. On April 19, 1947, he married Bertha A. George, who survives.
Other survivors are two sons, Jim (Becky), Charlotte, N.C., and Joe (Mary), Yorkshire; two daughters, Bernadette (Dwayne) Siekman, Delaware, and Betty Shappie, Versailles; a sister, Marie Gariety, Russia; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons, Jake and John; and two sisters, Viola Bulcher and Bertha Schwieterman.
He was a crop farmer and owned and operated Teacups View Dairy Farms. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, its Men's Society, and the North Star American Legion. He served in the U.S. Navy on the LST 778 in World War II.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial is at the church cemetery with military rites.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Sunday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry, and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Contributions can be made to the Versailles Health Care Center or Darke County Hospice.
