The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Alfrieda Wolters
Alfrieda A. Wolters, 83, 5405 Siegrist-Jutte Road, Coldwater, died at 7:32 a.m. Nov. 8, 2008, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born Nov. 4, 1925, in St. Rose, to Anthony and Clara Evers Schoenlein. On Aug. 29, 1953, she married Lavern Wolters, who survives.
Other survivors are a son Steve (Deb), Celina; seven daughters, Joyce DeStafano, Fort Wayne, Ind., Diane (Joe) Siegrist, Union City, Ind., Shirley (Kevin) Fullenkamp and Jane Jones, all of St. Henry, Donna (Larry) Lane, New Bremen, Brenda (Ken) Homan, Maria Stein, and Lynn (Ron) Broering, New Weston; two sisters-in-law, Rita Schoenlein, St. Rose, and Ruth Schoenlein, St. Henry; 30 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Deceased are four brothers, Albert, Bernard, Herman and Roman Schoenlein; two sisters, Mary Rutschilling and Esther Rethman; and a grandchild.
She was a homemaker and member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and its St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Ronald Wilker officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
