The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Larry Hoffman
Larry L. Hoffman, 52, Ansonia, died 9:56 p.m. Nov. 20, 2008, at the Ansonia Police Department. Cause of death has not been offically determined, as yet.
He was born April 3, 1952, in Celina to Gaylord and Doris Garwood Hoffman, who survive in Celina. On Nov. 12, 1983, he married Judy Mangen, who also survives.
Other survivors are two daughters, Amanda and Shelly, both of Ansonia; a brother, Rick (Linda), Celina, and a sister, Linda (Jim) Klingler, St. Marys.
Deceased is a sister, Tammy Hoffman.
He was the police chief of Ansonia and had previously worked for the Darke County Sheriff's Office as both a dispatcher and jailer. He was a member of Holy Catholic Church, Frenchtown, the Ansonia Sons of the Legion and the Greenville Eagles. He was president of the Fraternal Order of Police and a supporter of Ansonia Cops for Kids.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. David Vincent officiating. Burial with full police honors will follow in the church cemetery.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Tuesday at Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home, Greenville, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
