The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Linus Pohl
Linus William Pohl, 82, 5290 state Route 118, Coldwater, died at 7:02 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born July 15, 1926 in Coldwater to Roman and Cecelia Homan Pohl. On April 30, 1949, he married Virginia C. Pleiman, who died Nov. 24, 1997.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (Dennis) Thobe, Minster, and Madonna Schwieterman, Middletown; a brother, Ralph (Joann), Coldwater; a sister, Rita (Willard) Huwer, St. Henry; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Deceased is a grandchild.
He was a retired farmer and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, and its men's Holy Name Society of The Church.
Funeral mass is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 2-6 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
Memorials can be made to St. Marys Dialysis Unit.
