The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Dick Neu
Dick G. Neu, 80, of Lima, died at 3:10 a.m., Jan. 27, 2009, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima.
He was born Jan. 9, 1929, in Lima, to Jesse Fruchey and Marie Strickler Neu. On Nov. 10, 1951, he married Margeria Luken, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Cynthia (John) Hadley, Pittsfield, Maine, Jacalyn (Philip) Roberts, Bellingham, Mass., and Tracy (William) Dennis, Cuyahoga Falls; two half brothers, Thomas (Judy) and Todd (Trudy), both of Lima; his stepmother, Dorothy, Lima; four sisters-in-law, Wilma Meckstroth, St. Marys, Martha Buschur and Jeanie Luken, both of Coldwater, and Janet (Ed) Dillhoff, Arlington, Texas; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Cheryl; and four brothers-in-law, Roland Meckstroth, Robert Buschur, Melvin Buschur and his wife, Audrey, and Thomas Luken.
He retired from Lima Locomotive Works, which later became Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton and Clark Equipment. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and tended bar for the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of the Grand Army of the Republic, the Knights of Columbus, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, American Legion, Allen County Sportsman Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles, all in Lima, and the Mercer County Genealogy Society.
Funeral Mass is 10 a.m. on Saturday at the church, the Rev. David Ross officiating. Burial is at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, Lima. A wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m., followed by the rosary led by the Knights of Columbus.
