First responders check out a heavily damaged van following a two-vehicle crash at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Siegrist-Jutte and Coldwater Creek roads near Coldwater. Van driver Randall D. Kuess, 36, 6565 Clover Four Road, Celina, was taken by ambulance to Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater. Michael R. Langenkamp, 18, 2859 Koenig Road, St. Henry, was southbound on Coldwater Creek Road when Mercer County Sheriff's Office reports indicate he failed to stop for a stop sign and struck the side of the eastbound vehicle. The van traveled off the right side of the road, struck a telephone box and overturned. Langenkamp's 2005 Pontiac spun on the road before coming to a stop. He was cited for a stop sign violation and tow trucks were summoned to remove the wreckage.
