The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Norbert Heckman
Norbert Heckman, 90, formerly of 9480 state Route 705, Yorkshire, died at 12:25 p.m. May 2, 2009, at Heartland of Greenville.
He was born Feb. 19, 1919, in Yorkshire to Bernard J. and Rosa Grieshop Heckman. On May 8, 1946, he married Amelia DeLoye, who died Feb. 27, 2008.
Surviving are 11 children, Martha (Jerome) Barhorst, Fort Loramie, Rita (Stephen) Monnin, Botkins, John (Maruja) Heckman, Clifton, Va., James Robert (Adele) Heckman, Portland, Ind., Ann (Mike) Krietzer, Arcanum, Mary (Jerry) Siegrist, Sidney, Margie (Don) Eilerman, Fort Loramie, Joseph (Joyce) Heckman, Monroe, N.J., William (Mary Beth) Heckman, Yorkshire, Kathleen (John) Geise, Sidney, and David (Karen) Heckman, Minster; two brothers-in-law, Raymond (Mary Ann) DeLoye, Houston, and Robert (Rosalee) DeLoye, Yorkshire; 34 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Alice Heckman; and two grandchildren.
He was an organic farmer, a dealer in organic fertilizers and owner of Heckman Spreading Service. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and its men's sodality, Osgood, the Darke County Disabled American Veterans. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II and received the Purple Heart.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. David Zink officiating. Burial is at St. Martin's Cemetery, Osgood.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
