The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Frederick Yingling
Frederick "Fritz" Yingling, 89, formerly of 912 N. Spruce St., St. Marys, and a resident of Lakeland, Fla., died June 4, 2009, in Lakeland.
He was born Sept. 14, 1919, in St. Marys, to William and Lillie Mae Hudson Yingling. On Feb. 5, 1942, he married Dorothy J. Lusk, who died Jan. 4, 2002.
Surviving are two children, Catherine (Mark) Fritts, Springfield, and Thomas (Roberta) Yingling, St. Marys; a sister, Mary Shepard, Savannah, Ga.; a companion, Kathryn Kibler, Lakeland; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He retired from the former Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, St. Marys. He was a member of Mercer Lodge, Chapter 51 Royal Arch Masons, Council 81 Royal and Select Mason. He was Past Commander of Commandry 46 and a member of American Legion, St. Marys. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, St. Marys. He graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School in 1938. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in New Guinea during World War II.
Services are noon Wednesday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys, the Rev. Bill Maki officiating. Burial is at Elm Grove Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Calling is 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
