The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Jerry Bollenbacher
Jerry L. Bollenbacher, 69, Rockford, died at 10:02 a.m. June 27, 2009, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Aug. 15, 1939, in Mercer County to William and Mary Jane Luttman Bollenbacher. His father survives in Celina. On July 14, 1979, he married Jean Taylor, who survives.
Other survivors are his children, Ronnie (Kathy) Bollenbacher, Bryant, Ind., David Bollenbacher, Pennville, Ind., Susan (Paul) Cassel, Dunkirk, Ind., Faith (Roger) Nelson, Convoy, Vickie (Dan) Trim, Ypsilanti, Mich., Laura (Tim) Alexander, Celina, Jesse (Teri) McNall, Glens Falls, N.Y., and Brian (Sara) Bollenbacher, Van Wert; a sister, Gloria (Kent) Schindler, Berne, Ind.; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He retired in 1998 from the former Huffy Corporation, Celina, after 21 years of service.
Service is 4 p.m. Wednesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, Van Wert, the Rev. Chris Stahlman officiating.
Calling is 3-4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
