The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Louis Fark
Louis G. Fark, 88, 2728 state Route 274, New Bremen, died at 4:25 p.m. June 27, 2009, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born July 19, 1920, in New Bremen, to George and Fredonia Hirschfeld Fark. On Feb. 14, 1946, he married Julia Dammeyer, who survives.
Other survivors are a daughter, Kathy (Wayne) Maurer, Springfield; a sister, Leota (Roger) Busse, New Bremen; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Don and Jan Dammeyer, both of New Bremen; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was a brick and stone mason and worked on many schools, churches and buildings in the area. He was a member of St. Peter's Church, American Legion, the Woodmen of the World Camp 149 and the BAC Local #35, all of New Bremen. He was a 1938 graduate of New Bremen High School and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Africa and Italy with the 703rd Engineering Petroleum Distribution Company.
Private services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home, New Bremen, the Rev. Stephen Wills officiating. Private family burial services are at the German Protestant Cemetery, New Bremen.
Calling is 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
