The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Virginia Curry
Virginia L. "Jinny" Curry, 85, 7398 state Route 703, Celina, died at 12:05 p.m. July 20, 2009, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born March 31, 1924, in Celina to Russell and Etta Smith Peak. On May 22, 1947, she married Wilbur "Bud" Curry, who died Dec. 2, 2008.
Surviving are two sons, Rick (Marge) Curry, Milford, and Patrick (Debra) Curry, Decatur, Ind.; a son-in-law, Greg Kroft, Marietta; a sister, Marilyn Niemeyer, Celina; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a daughter, Beth Ann Kroft; a brother, Ferd Peak; a sister, Patty Peak; a stepbrother, Richard Yahn; and a stepsister, Joan Ellis.
She graduated from Celina High School and received her teaching degree from Ohio Northern. She was an elementary school teacher in Celina City Schools for 23 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, all in Celina, the Ohio Education Association, Ohio Retired Teachers Association, University Women's Club, and the Mercer County Historical Society. She taught Sunday school for 23 years at the church and was the church historian.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Kim Miller officiating. Burial is at North Grove Cemetery, Celina.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
