The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Alice Bastian
Alice Ann Bastian, 82, of Lima, died at 5:10 p.m. July 21, 2009, at Lima Convalescent Home.
She was born July 28, 1926, in Lima to Adam S. and Lessa E. Diller Brenneman. On Jan. 12, 1946, she married Keith A. Bastian, who survives.
Other survivors are three sons, Keith "Dan" (Sandy) Bastian, Delphos, David Merrill (Jenni) Bastian, Los Angeles, Calif., and James Lauren (Nicole) Bastian, Smithfield, R.I.; a daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" (Noel) Brown, Dalhart, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Richard Lyle and Paul William Brenneman.
Private graveside services, with Rev. Dave Howell officiating, will be held.
Contributions can be made to the Equestrian Therapy Program, Cridersville, the American Cancer Society, Perrysburg or St. Rita's Hospice.
Chiles-Laman Funeral Homes, Lima is entrusted with arrangements.
