The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Phyllis Myers
Phyllis J. Myers, 82, of Celina, died Dec. 23, 2009, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born July 7, 1927, in Miami County to Clifford and Mildred L. Koogler Thompson. She was married to John Hangen, who died, and then Charles W. Myers, who also is deceased.
Surviving are her children, Debbie (Mike) Oaks, Union, Michelle Waymire, West Milton, Bob (Brenda) Hangen, West Milton, Carla Waters and Jeff Hollon, Middletown, Mike (Della) Hangen, Celina; three sisters, Pat Flowers, West Milton, Maxine Develbiss, Fla., and Jackie Adams, Pleasant Hill; 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a brother, Robert Thompson.
She was a 1945 graduate of Milton-Union and a member of the West Milton American Legion and the Celina Moose. She was a life member of Mountain Top Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, West Milton, the Rev. Doug Jones officiating. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery, West Milton.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
