The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Lorma Wiehe
Lorma M. Wiehe, 92, 28 Circle Drive, New Bremen, died at 1:10 p.m. Jan. 14, 2010, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center, Minster.
She was born Feb. 22, 1917 near New Bremen, to Emil and Lillian Kettler Fricke and also was raised by her stepmother, Anna Miller Fricke. On Oct. 6, 1938, she married Howard Wiehe, who died Feb. 21,1985.
Surviving are daughters, Janice (Don) Howell, New Bremen, Marlene (John) Ahlers, Gainesville, Ga.; sister-in-law Elizabeth King of Fremont; brother-in-law Wallace Hirschfeld of New Bremen; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Raymond Fricke; three sisters, Viola Dicke, Myrtle Schwartz and Marie Koeper; and a grandson.
She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen. A homemaker, she formerly worked at the Auglaize School in New Bremen.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and one hour before service Monday at the church.
Memorials may be made to New Bremen Emergency Squad, the Grand Lake Hospice or to the church memorial fund.
