The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Elizabeth Bruns
Elizabeth "Betty" M. Bruns, 97, 1005 Emerald Ave., Coldwater, died at 8:40 a.m. Feb. 1, 2010, at Briarwood Village, Coldwater.
She was born Oct. 29, 1912, in St. Henry, to Henry B. and Rosa Sophia Minges Schrage. On Sept. 29, 1934, she married Clarence J. Bruns, who died in 1984.
Surviving are two sons, Jerome (Barbara) Bruns, Sarasota, Fla., and Frederick (Barb) Bruns, Vail, Ariz.; two daughters, Marilyn (James) Wilson, Fairfield, Calif., and Diana Otterbacher, Hebron, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son-in-law, Robert Otterbacher; two brothers, Henry and Charles Schrage; and a sister, Carolyn Valentine.
She was a homemaker, a secretary for several local organizations and the presiding judge at the election polls for many years. A 1930 graduate of St. Henry High School, she was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. She also was a member of St. Ann's Rosary Altar Sodality, St. Cecelia Knights of St. John, Community Hospital Auxiliary and the American Red Cross.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial is at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
