The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Richard Martin
Richard A. "Dick" Martin, 80, 109 Wiggs St., Fort Recovery, died at 9:30 p.m. March 6, 2010, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
He was born Jan. 9, 1930, in Dayton, to John and Margaret Delp Martin. On Nov. 23, 1968, he married Margaret Reichert, who survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Sherolyn (Steve) Jones, Mendon, Darlene Martin, Greenville, Cindy (Harold) Aslinger, Centerville, Ind., Angela Martin, Louisville, Ky., and Diana (Curt) Rammel, Fort Recovery; a son, Dane (Deb) Martin, Fort Recovery; a brother, Lon (Wanda) Martin, West Carrolton; a sister, LaRue Peacock, Denver, Colo.;17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are an infant daughter, Sondra Martin, six sisters and five brothers.
He retired from J&M Manufacturing, Fort Recovery. He also served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6515, Fort Recovery.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church, Sharpsburg, the Rev. Charles Mullen officiating. Burial with military graveside honors will be at St. Marys Cemetery, Fort Recovery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:45 am. Wednesday at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
