The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

Jack White
Jack E. White, 69, New Bremen, died at 11 p.m. April 19, 2010, at his home.
He was born May 19, 1940, in Van Wert, to Robert L. and Kathryn Langhorst White. On Sept. 7, 1963, he married Mary Ellen Keith, who survives in New Bremen.
Also surviving are four daughters, Jennifer Clint, Alicia (William) Schemmel and Stephanie (Jeffrey) Dicke, all of New Bremen, and Linda (Michael) Tinsley, Hendersonville, N.C.; and 13 grandchildren.
Deceased are his parents, a sister, Linda A. Keith, and a brother, George L. White.
He was a CAD engineer and had worked at Crown Equipment Corporation in New Bremen and retired from Monarch Machine Company in Sidney. He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, New Bremen. He also was a member of God's Recovery Group, the American Legion Post 241 of New Bremen and the Masonic Lodge of Sidney. He also served in the U.S. Air Force and was a flight instructor.
Services are 1 p.m. May 8, at the church, the Rev. Becky Erb Strang officiating.
Memorials can be made to the Grand Lake Hospice or to St. Jude's Children's Research Center.
Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen is handling the arrangements.
